- A tumor of the lymph nodes, typically detected in the body and can travel to the brain. Occasionally seen only within the brain and arising from cells around the blood vessels of the brain
- Fast growing tumor which causes significant inflammation and swelling within the brain and presents with seizures or focal neurologic findings such as headache, nausea, weakness, numbness, speech changes or confusion
- Typically found in deep locations within the brain
- Responds very well to chemotherapy and radiation which are the primary means of treatment
- A stereotactic brain biopsy is often necessary to determine the diagnosis
