Spine Conditions
Your spine is the column of bones we call the vertebrae going down your back. The bones are separated by spongy, shock absorbing discs. The spinal cord runs through a large central opening formed by the vertebrae. Our Nerves branch from the spinal cord and exit through the foramina to travel to the arms and shoulders and the legs and feet. The spongy discs wear out and harden with increasing age and can be injured and bulge outward and causing compression of the spinal cord and the nerve root.
